Work In Progress: Detailed Archaic Male Bust (Inspired by Homo neanderthalensis)

Work in progress: I started modelling this male bust today and will log stepping stones through the design process here. I'm reconstructing the facial musculature of Homo neanderthalensis (male specimen) our evolutionary cousins. I've always been interested in these palaeolithic hominins, given their population settlements in Eurasia, the prospect for symbolic culture in the archaeological record and their introgressed dna (to varying degree - due to natural selection obviously, yet genetic drift/randomised autosomal recombining too) in their corresponding geographic descendants.
